Financial Resources —Did you know that there are many financial resources that can help people living with breast cancer? Find out more
In more than 18,000 communities across the U.S., more than 75,000 Susan G. Komen breast cancer survivors and activists work to help fund breast cancer education, screening and treatment projects for those who need it most. Last year, Komen Affiliates—working in concert with local organizations—awarded more than $93 million in needs-based community grants. That's in addition to the many millions Komen invests each year in promising research.
The Wyoming Affiliate of Susan G. Komen®—along with those who generously support us with their talent, time and resources—is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in our community. Through events like the Susan G. Komen Wyoming Race for the Cure®, we have invested over $2 million in local breast health and breast cancer awareness projects across the state. Up to 75% of net proceeds generated by the Komen Wyoming Affiliate stay in the state of Wyoming. The remaining income goes to the national Susan G. Komen Research Grants Program for energizing science to find the cures. The Fiscal Year 2014-2015 grants slate moves Komen closer to accomplishing its goal of investing another $2 billion in breast cancer research and community health programs by 2017.
Any not-for-profit organization that provides breast health and/or breast cancer education, patient navigation, or access to treatment may apply for a grant.
